Wednesday: Garden Salad

We had a few heavy showers during the night but today was a chilly and bright day. Some sunshine too, which was fine for MrD on his deliveries.
Family history all morning, someone had pointed me towards a branch of the family surname “Anwyl” a few of them emigrated to Australia and led rather interesting lives!
The cucumber, which I started off months ago, has decided to have fruit - it’s had lots of fruit which didn’t grow any bigger but last week I noticed a few cucumbers, they’re just a couple of inches long but very tasty - few more to come, weather permitting.
Tomatoes are ripening on the kitchen table, they may be an emergency blip over next few days …
Salad leaves were found in various pots around the garden and in the greenhouse. Did I mention the salad was delicious? :-))
This afternoon I removed the last few saucers from under the pots and MrD kindly moved the miniature Crab Apple in it’s very large pot

And the red eating apple tree in another large pot, they’ve been on a large tray during the very long dry summer.
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
