New work

Average day with nothing much happening.  I started the day with a bit of housework, dusting and hoovering.  Quick late breakfast then off to volunteering session in local school.  I told myself I was going to give it a year and then decide whether to continue or not.  The girls are very sweet and we chat easily but I am not sure if I am helping or making any sort of difference.  Might be a long game?

OH had a dentist appointment for a filling and was suffering after three injections so took himself off to bed with raging headache.  I sat and did some more of my tapestry and made dinner.  Telephone call from No.2 in somewhat of a dilemma - he had sold a piece of work, which was also wanted by another buyer.  Nice position to be in and hopefully the start of things to come.  The piece was on a soldier falling off a horse and he has received interest in 'horse' related pictures.  He said that he had recently completed another horse study which I really love (pictured).  I did suggest it should be a pair with the other picture being the front half maybe?  The new work is in watercolour that he has only recently started working in (preferring oils in the past).  Nice positive end to the day.
