Step One

I was inspired by my neighbor's bee sanctuary so I thought I would try to create a bee and butterfly sanctuary in my back yard. Since Bob will be here later this morning for the possibly last mow, John and I marked off a 25-foot circle.  Bob will mow around this.  I plan to seed it in a month or so with native wildflower seeds and we will see what happens next spring.  The bright pink circle sure looks funny on this frosty morning.  At 28F, it is our first true frost of the season.
