Another Friday Night

And, as has become the norm these days, I’m spending it at a rehearsal. In fact, I’ve had to put the day of the week in the title as otherwise I really wouldn’t know what day it is.
Not that it mattered. It was torrential rain for most of the day so, apart from a quick trip to the supermarket, dealing with emails and catching up on telly was the order of the day. A bit of line learning didn’t go amiss either.
Of course, its Sod’s Law that as soon as the weather cleared up, I was stuck inside the slightly less than salubrious surroundings of Heysham Institute. Still, this is our last night here as we move into the theatre on Sunday for a final week of rehearsals.
For the first time we managed a complete run through, with just a few mistakes - even the bits we’d not really run through before went okay and only needed minor tweaking. It’s going to be the same again now from Sunday onwards, hopefully adding lights and sound as we go along.
We’re not there yet but the light at the end of the tunnel is quite a bit brighter than it was a week ago!
