Lots of pink….
My garden is now looking rather autumnal but only the hostas have actually died back. In this photo you can see hydrangeas with ‘pink’ flowers, these were in fact white flowers which have gone pink. The flowers of the pink hydrangeas I have are now rather shrivelled and brownish, but they did flower earlier. I still have busy lizzies and also my little strawberry plants are still producing the odd fruit! This week I bought a batch of heather plants in Lidl, their bargain of the week….large tricolour pots for only £2.79. The same plants in my local garden centre were at least double that. I’ve also bought some pots of violas wh.I h should keep going for a while.
Before tidying in the garden a busy day getting a bedroom ready for decorators on Monday. All furniture needed to be moved and the curtains taken down. Plus trimming the carpet round the edge of the room so they can do the skirting board properly ready for new carpet. Then cleaning! Tomorrow we will need to take down the pictures and lampshades.
