Low water at Haweswater
Back blipped yesterday.
My oldest friend and his partner came to visit last night & we had a fabulous meal at the Black Swan in Ravenstonedale.
Today we woke to glorious blue so after a lazy breakfast (& some incredulity at how utterly inept and adrift our new Prime Minister is) we headed out for a walk at a favourite place.
Wow. Just wow.
I've never seen Haweswater so low, with new islands and the old village road walls all visible.
We had a great wander along The Rigg path and out to Speaking Crag, before a lovely late lunch at the fabulous Haweswater Hotel (if you're ever in this part of the world pop in and admire what an amazing restoration the (relatively) new owners have done).
