Meeting the neighbours

It was a beautiful morning for a walk out the Downpatrick Road and around the shore  - so this pair of heifers weren't close neighbours,  but they were very happy girls. I  do have a soft spot for cows - when I was about 11 my dad had 5 calves in the field by our house and my job each day was to feed them. I named each one  and cried buckets when they went to market.
The extras are of a curlew on the shore,  and a large group of sparrows and starlings having a Sunday morning bath!!
