Back to the UK

A good crossing on an earlier ferry than booked, thankfully the ferry was not busy and the traffic from Dover was light, a first for us. Another first was to drive along the south coast towards Eastbourne passing through towns and villages some names known to us Again the traffic conditions proved to be fine.

We had arranged to meet a friend C, who lives in Eastbourne, the afternoon flew by as they do when catching up on all those years.

We are now parked in the beautiful old village of Eastdean, C had met a craft colleague who suggested we could park here in the village hall car park. The Tiger Inn next door served a good meal, C joined us, we chatted and enjoyed the food a cosy, wonderful atmosphere.

By 9.00 pm we all felt shattered, an emotional afternoon and in bed by 9.30.
C is coming back in the morning around 10.00, there is a market in the car park from 10.00, we will take a look before heading off.
