Friday: Salad Leaves

Very, very windy this morning with very heavy rain showers which continued until 4pm, then we had some lovely blue sky and strong winds!
Made meatballs in tomato sauce this morning for MrD’s dinner this evening - home grown garlic and a few of our tomatoes, went out to the garden and found only a few stalks of thyme. I’ve ordered seeds and a plant, can’t live without thyme! :-))
Ventured into the greenhouse whilst there was no wind - emptied water from the trays and took the covers off the seeds, they are growing well - I picked a few lettuce and rocket seedlings to have with my lunch along with tomatoes and the last piece of cucumber from a few days back.
P.S. ALL the acorns from a few days back have disappeared … MrD saw The Pheasant walking down our road yesterday …
Rain has come back this evening … very soggy Friday night :-((
