Green Tomatoes

I really couldn't resist. 
The minister announced that he had brought some green tomatoes from his garden and for people to help themselves to make use of them.

Not expecting that there'd be any left by the time I got to them I was surprised to see a carrier bag stuffed full and no-one else in sight so I emptied my spare mask out of its bag and filled it - guessing I had a couple of pounds at most.

This afternoon, after much cerebral effort in converting quantities into three-fifths of the recipe, I made a batch of green tomato chutney, something I have not made before.

It's just been potted up and I have 10 minutes to post my blip before it all turns into a pumpkin...but that's another recipe...!
