Fourth plinth

Today was a trip to London for girls lunch.  The weather started grey and wet and it was a dilemma what to wear/shoes/coat - not sure why I worry about it!?!

The weather had improved by the time we arrived, rain stopped and sun was out. We walked through Trafalgar Square and I snapped a picture of the fourth plinth - interesting back story which ticks current colonial woke boxes.

Lunch at Brassiere Zedel in Piccadilly which was not quite as good as previously with surly French waiter and slow service, but the company and conversation was good (although not sure why we had to hear and see so much about J’s cleaning problems with Canterbury rental flat).  They have just secured another tenant who has paid 12 months in advance - surely just get a specialist cleaner to do it and save yourself 12 hours and four bottles of viacal.).  We were not hassled to leave the restaurant so continued chatting until around 4.30 then found another bar for a last drink.  I ordered a pink gin and it appeared it was ‘happy hour’ so two arrived.  T ordered her favourite ‘porn star’ and also ended up with two but we were well behaved on the way home.  Lovely day with lovely friends - and we all agreed we are looking forward to Bruges in November for our next girly trip.
