Diary of an Edinburgher

Pills, coffee and chocolate

Archie and I dandered to the chemist this morning to pick up some pills. It was sunny and warmish, so as we passed the café, I took Arch by surprise, so that he couldn’t protest much, and went in and ordered a coffee. (Note: NO pastry). We sat outside in the sun. JR usually comes back that way, but I thought she’d be quite a while later. When eventually I did move off, Archie did his usual nipping, growling and shaking the lead, letting me know he doesn’t appreciate having to wait for me while I have a coffee. And actually, we should have waited, as JR was home just behind us.

Anne popped round, on her Meadows run, to give us an update on the patient. He’s been out for a walk, so feeling a bit better. She also brought a Lindt teddybear, and somehow, I left some of it for JR when she came back.

She and Archie walked back over the Meadows with Anne, then down through the Gardens. She hasn’t reached that 20,000 step count again for a while now, but I won’t mention my pathetic count…

Another photo with me in it… is this a trend? Hope not.
