Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Gym for JR followed by brunch with her gym pals. Archie and I had a walk round the Links..

Later, we went down to visit Scott, our Trailfinders agent, to tell him about the holiday. It wasn't really such a good idea - and I'm not sure how many people do appear in the office to give a debrief on their holiday - but it's not really convenient. He said he'd see us at 3pm, but by 3.30 we gave up. He rang afterwards - he'd had clients who came at 1.30 - he never knows how long it will take. Maybe they were planning a world trip... I’ll write an email with bullet points.

Anyway, it was a good walk for the dog. And I spotted a new restaurant - Japanese - in an old bank building that has been empty for years. Yay!

JR made that Mary Berry apple cake again. We had wrapped all our excess apples in newspapers and put them in the shed, and they're OK. We have a friend coming for a cuppa tomorrow. She's Palestinian, her family have lived in Scotland for many decades. Of course, she is worried sick about relatives and friends at home, with the unbelievably horrendous happenings there. Will find out more tomorrow.

Archie and I passed another strange sign this morning...
