Cavendish Memorial Fountain

What a glorious day for our walk with the Pudseys from Bolton Bridge to Bolton Abbey Priory and back. Lunch sat on the benches, in glorious sunshine, by the Abbey ruins.
I was really pleased with the 32 photos I took showing the autumn colours and the sparkling river. Also a few group photos of our friends.
However instead of uploading the 28 I chose on to the IPad, it deleted them all off my SD card and only kept the 4 I didn’t want.
No idea why!

So the blip is of the Cavendish Memorial Fountain. A drinking fountain erected in 1886 as a memorial to Lord Frederick Cavendish following his murder in Phoenix Park by the Irish National Invincibles in May 1882.

The extra is a photo of Jude taken early evening yesterday. We haven’t seen him since the holidays and how he has changed in those few week. Now walking and takes some watching! I got all the toys out and as usual loves the bricks. He can now stack them on top of one another up to 5. Also counts as he goes, although only up to three.
He has such an infectious laugh too.
Loved this photo which shows the concentration on his face, also the only one which wasn’t blurred as he never keeps still.
