J’ai arrive

Not a great night sleep as I heard Josh get up for the loo and then they left around 4ish in the morning.  We were also up early to load up, pick up J & S en route to the tunnel.

Our first stop was Boulogne where I had booked a restaurant for lunch.  As it turns out we were the only ones there.  Drizzling when we arrived but blue skies by the time we had finished a very enjoyable lunch.  Next stop was the hyper market to pick up some groceries for the next few days. Predominately cheese and wine :-)

Onto our little air B&B house in Le Touquet where Nadine met us and merrily told us how everything works… in French.  We got the gist of it all :-D

Early evening we walked the two minutes to the beach to watch the sunset, although we missed the best of it as we walked back through the town.

The beach is absolutely fantastic.  Miles and miles of golden sand and everywhere so clean.

Back home for cheese, wine and a game of cards.

Extras of Boulogne old town, a musical square in Boulogne and our evening walk in Le Touquet.
