Moira’s Run

I well remember the murder of Moira Jones in 2008 who had stepped out of her flat near Queens Park for a morning run. Her mother Bea Jones set up the running event held in memory of her daughter. The fund supports families who lives have been impacted by homicide. There were about 500 runners today and an extraordinary atmosphere. Great short speeches from Bea Jones and Lady Elish Angolini. Good to see Kirsten Oswald supporting everyone , I think one of her lads was running.
It was quite a challenging 5k and some of the downhills were very slippery. I was pleased to complete it in 35.07 despite some fast walking, and slow walking downhill.
