Coming Up

An early start this morning to make sure we finished the other wall that needed repainting in our flat, before the estate agent arrived. We just made it, though I was conscious that there were a few bits that weren’t fully dry as he was looking round. Fortunately, he neither spotted - or worse, brushed up against - anything that might still be slightly tacky.
The good news is that he thinks it should sell quickly, as there is still a bit of pent up demand for quality properties, regardless of what the markets are doing. And hopefully the news that Rishi Sunak will be unopposed in his bid to be the next PM, will help calm the current volatility.
With the prospect of an improved financial position on the horizon, we decided to treat ourselves to a shop at Waitrose. We had a voucher for £4 off a £40 spend so, once the essential meals were purchased, a few treats made their way into the basket to make sure we reached the threshold. After a few other offers were taken into account, the final total was £40.14 - result! Effectively meant we got the goodies for free, after the £4 was deducted!
Have to make the most of it though. Once the flat sells, shopping in Waitrose will be a thing of the past, as we haven’t got one anywhere near Kendal.
