the creeks next to us, which converge about a hundred metres away have experienced increased flow this past week. Very little flooding, thank goodness, but a flood watch was put in place. This is in contrast to the huge major flooding in the south-eastern states. 
SA is relatively dry, so less water around. However, all the flood waters in Victoria and NSW around the Murray River basin are draining into the Murray, and will then flow into SA in the coming weeks. River towns are on high alert right down the length. The Big Wet will transform into The Big Flow.
