Parked
Posting this on the morning of the 3rd because I was too tired to post it when we got home from Duncan yesterday. I knew it was going to be a busy day, so I took this through the car window with the iPad when we were in the ferry lineup. I had an appointment to pick up my glasses that had been sent back to have the correct lenses sorted after a mistake had been made in the prescription. I liked the view in the rear view mirror and the partial name of the company on the truck that was parked two lanes over. Extra: I took a photo through my old glasses and liked the way the car in front of us and the edge of our windshield were distorted. Didn't take a shot of the new glasses on the way home.
We left home extra early to catch the ferry because a smaller one is on this route just now. We stopped at the stop sign by the road to the ferry, turned, and much to our surprise, were stopped by a police car that had been parked across the road from the stop sign. The mountie said that G hadn't stopped! We both protested loudly because he definitely had stopped! Anyway, we told him that we were had to make the ferry and this was stressful. He gave us a warning rather than a ticket, thank goodness. I surprised myself by being so indignant and protesting loudly! Fortunately we made the ferry.
After I picked up my new glasses (problem sorted!), we had a short visit with DoogieVanIsle, saw Impy long enough for a hug because she was working. We then did all the necessary stuff in town and headed home. It seems that we're always rushing around and I'm always fretting about making the ferry.
Our neighbour Bill had an operation on Tuesday to remove one of his kidneys because he was diagnosed with cancer. His sister called on Tuesday night to let us know that he was doing okay. We picked up some things in Duncan that he needed for his well and we're keeping an eye on his place until he's back home.
