Playing the Blues

Today has been much drier. I am recovering this evening after a long, busy day picking up my fibromyalgia and asthma medications and a few bits and pieces I needed in town. I met up with my Mum for an hour or so as she was in town for a hair appointment.

In a great deal of pain so an early night and a rest day tomorrow will be required. I always pay for doing essential errands, it’s endlessly frustrating. The joys of fibromyalgia. I hope every day for a cure.

Today’s Blip is of an old bicycle being used as an advertising sign, spotted outside a vintage furniture shop.

The first extra is of a friendly dog that was sitting patiently outside the supermarket. Such a cute little red bow, it made me smile!

The second extra is of a busker who was playing and singing the blues - he was an excellent guitarist but not as strong a singer. I’ve met a lot of street musicians in town over the years and there’s a great deal of talent for such a small town.

I had an email back from the prison themed poetry competition to say I had been unsuccessful along with a pretty brutal critique!

I’m disappointed and rather disheartened but not surprised. I don’t know if I feel like entering any more writing competitions right now but I will see how I feel in time. It’s knocked my confidence in my writing ability.

I hope you have all had a terrific Thursday.

Thanks for all your kind comments, follows and stars :) xx
