Dunstanburgh Castle

Up early walking on the beach.  Sadly yesterday's clouds meant no view of sunrise.  But I still enjoyed my hour of walking and beachcombing.

After breakfast we drove to Craster, recommended by our York friends.

It's a charming fishing village.  First extra: smoke from the kipper smoking.

We walked towards Dunstanburgh Castle  -main.  Met a couple with two greyhounds one a blue one which has been trained as a therapy dog.  Lovely views of the sea on our walk.

On our return back to Craster we stopped for soup - sweet potato, onion and tomato with a cheese scone.  Very homemade and delicious.  Sparrows were waiting for crumbs and despite OH virtually shouting 'Go away!' as one made for his flapjack. Extra: polishing off crumbs.

Back at cottage in Spittal at about 3pm  OH went for a rest.  I went for a walk on the beach for about another hour.

Clocked up another 12,000 steps.  Need to get in training for Cairo next week.

Out for a meal at Limoncello soon.

Pleasant evening everyone.
