I Get Around

Mrs C contemplating her next vehicle? It ticks a lot of boxes - electric powered, easy to park and equipped with a heater, remote central locking, reversing camera and rear parking sensors. Maybe it should also have had front parking sensors as it’s got a few scuffs to the bumper and is missing a wing mirror, on the nearside. No room for a passenger and luggage capacity seems minimal but, hey, what do you want for four grand?
Mrs C has subsequently informed me that she wouldn’t be seen dead in such a vehicle (she’s not wrong, you’d struggle to get a coffin in there) but was thinking it might be good for me, now I’m knocking on a bit. She had decided that she’ll stick with her BMW for as long as fossil fuels are available.
Me? I’m off to browse Autotrader. I would like to own something ludicrously powerful and impractical before advancing years and extortionately priced, dwindling fuel reserves dictate that I can’t. I accept I will probably end up being forced to buy an electric vehicle one day, but I’m going to hold out as long as possible before succumbing to the inevitable.
