Jubilee Pool, Penzance

The weather still wasn't great today so we thought we'd have a wander in Penzance. As we parked the car, the heavens opened again so we found a little coffee shop to shelter for a while, then headed out to explore the shops, the sub-tropical gardens, and the promenade and Jubilee Pool open air lido. We got rather soaked along the promenade as the rain and wind howled around us for a while, strong enough to make standing difficult at one point, but lunch beckoned in the Jubilee Pool cafe so we dried off there. Apparently, the Pool closed on 30th October, so we only just missed it, but the final day is set aside for dogs which would have been great to witness!

Extra: St Michael's Mount which was on the way back to the cottage. I was amazed to get a reasonable photo as the wind made it very difficult to hold the camera steady.
