Edinburgh

A bright start to the day and off to catch the No 11 bus into Morningside to look for breakfast. After a good walk and with hunger pangs calling John spotted a place called McLaren’s, it was just the job on a cool damp day, warm, comfortable and friendly. We each ordered a Full Scottish breakfast, it was spot on and apart from the two chaps having a slice of toast this evening we didn’t eat again today.

The rest of the day was spent meandering the centre and later taking the No 11 bus to Ocean Terminal and afterwards the same numbered bus back to the camp site. We had front seats upstairs with an excellent view of the city surrounds. A good way to see the city suburbs, study appalling driving and wonder at the adventurous cyclists, mostly delivering pizzas.
