Guess who!

A very unexpected treat - a visit from Renata, Krista and Bruce! Last minute decision to come over and we're thrilled that they're here! Arrived this morning in time to watch Kalyn's volleyball game from Montana. After the game, we went for a walk on the trail behind our place. G didn't come because he thought we were just going for a short walk but we ended up enjoying the late afternoon sun and the fresh air and walked for longer than we'd planned. We found some huge maple leaves, and I liked this shot of Krista peeking through the hole in one! I also liked the shadow of a tree on Renata's back in the first extra. Bruce went crazy in the forest, zooming ahead of us, enjoying all the smells, so much energy! He crashed in front of the fire when we got home (2nd extra). Supper at Auntie Pesto's, of course, and delicious meals as usual, lots of laughs. Home to relax and watch a couple of episodes of Seinfeld then an early night. We were all tired! A nice break for Renata and Krista too. They've both been super busy. No plans for tomorrow, just going to take it easy, maybe a walk down Xwaaqw'um. They're going home on Monday. 
I forgot to mention yesterday that Kalyn and team played a game in Washington on Thursday night. Kalyn's back is really bothering her, so she didn't plan on playing. The streaming of the match froze and apparently she played for a couple of minutes, but we didn't see that. They lost the 1st set 14-25, came back and won the 2nd set 25-23, lost the 3rd set 24-26, then lost the 4th 23-25. Nail biters! Kalyn didn't play in today's match, their last of the season. A win for them, 25-21, 25-15, 19-25, 25-15, a good way to end. Until these final two matches, Kalyn had been the only player to play in every set. I know for sure it was really hard on her not to play! Strange for us to watch and not see her on the court too.
