Presents

I brought Mum a nice cheesecloth tea towel at Los Poblanos, well actually i I bought loads of them because, they are good gifts and light to pack.  Of course they were nearly all lost in the missing suitcase so good they made it home. 

Beautiful warm autumn day and the first I have had to spend at home for a while.  I had my booster jab in Midhurst first thing, food shopped at Cowdray and then whizzed into Petersfield, had nails done and picked up new jumpers for Mum from M&S and then home for lunch and an afternoon in the garden.  Planted up some pots of bulbs, ordered in some more and filled up the tub by the gate with some pansies. 

Mum and Jono came over to dinner, I cooked the Aphrodite chicken from Sky McAlpine and a quince and apple crumble.   Lovely evening only slightly wrecked when, after putting Mum in a taxi and waving her off, I tripped on the step and fell flat on my face. Mainly winded (what does that?) but I’m going to ache tomorrow!  

Mum rejected ALL of the six jumpers I ordered online for her.
