Rosemarkie stone

We took the Brownies to the Groam house museum in Rosemarkie. We are working towards our Local History and Collectors badge so a perfect place to go.
It was pouring with rain but most of the Brownies made it without getting too wet.
They enjoyed finding out about the Picts , they found it funny that it was thought they did not wear clothes, ‘what not even pants ? ‘ Said one.
They were impressed by the Rosemarkie stone that stands pride of place on the ground floor. It was discovered as part of the church floor and the constant walking over the sandstone has worn one side while the other has been well preserved. More info here https://groamhouse.org.uk/about.
