The Missus

Hubby was up at 5:30 to meet my sister and BIL at an estate sale. My to do list was too long to leave home. Besides, it was chilly and breezy. As I completed each task, it felt good to cross it off my list. There were loads of song birds at the feeders while I washed dishes. This female cardinal posed for me. Hubby was not as successful at the sale as our BIL was. The items he went to look at (musical instruments) were less then the quality he was interested in. He stood in line for about four hours to purchase two bungee cords for $1.00! Poor guy. Our BIL bought a lawn tractor that looks and works great. Hubby will transport it to WV next week. My sister found some wonderful deals as well. Plus the estate sale manager treated them to lunch as this was a customer appreciation sale. I had all food items on my list in the cooler or tub ready for pick up when my sister arrived. That’s a huge job behind me. I picked Brooklyn up from her bus stop at Kim’s school and took her home. She wanted to get a few things done before basketball practice. Hubby went to get Chase from his bus stop but his other grandmother got there first (family communication at its finest). Hubby has another Knights’ meeting tonight and dinner is provided. I’ll enjoy the chicken salad I made today. Hoping to have some Kindle and kitty snuggle time but I missed the midday nap so not sure how much reading I’ll do! Wishing you a calm evening. Thanks for stopping bye. Be safe and stay healthy. “I love the sound of the wind in the trees and the song of the birds and the shuffle in the leaves of my many woodland friends.” — Jason Mraz
