Table football

Busy getting ready for the builders to come and fix the damp, now the roofers have been and hopefully stopped any more rain coming in. I put my son’s table football on Freecycle - which is a brilliant website for finding someone who wants a thing you no longer want. Got 5 replies in the first half hour, so they are forming a digital queue - and it will be gone tomorrow.
As for the real football - what predominates in my thoughts is a play I heard on radio 4 last week called Dear Harry Kane about the life and death of a Sri Lankan migrant worker building one of the stadiums. The statistic of 6500 people dying to construct the stadiums seems so much more real when a drama presents just one of them as a real rounded person with a wife and children, hopes and dreams.
