Stockingfield Junction
The weather held up for the second stage of the Forth and Clyde Canal, typically the rain was heaviest as we had lunch on the pontoon at Bishopbriggs. By the time we reached Stockingfield we had more or less dried out. Several folk opted to walk along the Dundas Spur into the city centre while the rest of us finished the walk at Maryhill. A good day with a more than usual range of walking paces which I meant I did several sprints to keep us altogether.
Folk were thrilled to see a kingfisher and the usual rafts of ducks, several heron, a cormorant and two deer.
