Manure!

The first manure order of the non-growing season has arrived and it was great, properly well-rotted stuff.

I shared a bulk bag with a friend and we got 6 barrowloads each, which was enough to mulch 2 asparagus beds, 2 globe artichoke beds, the greenhouse beds and add a layer to the compost heap. 

I will doubtless be ordering more in the winter.
