Not George Formby…

…but pretty damn good!
The music session at the pub last night was fab. We weren’t sure how it would go as footy was on the big screen too but Gary the landlord turned sound off on the telly. We took Bella with us and she loved all the attention and treats.
The guy in the photo came over from Halifax to visit friends in Hellifield and to join in the session. He is a member of the George Formby Society and he was excellent! My Mum loved George and I still have her LP in a frame.
I hope he comes back.
Today was very positive in that we took Tonya and Yurii to Kendal to view a flat and they fell in love with the town. It is one of my favourite places too.
The flat although, small was neat and newly decorated and carpeted and warm considering the heating hadn’t been on.
From the outside we were all a bit dubious but once inside they were really keen and the rent is only £450 pcm. Tonya has filled in an application form on line. 
We had lunch in a veggie/vegan cafe called Baba Ganoush it was delicious.
We had a wander up the ruined castle too which was interesting. Tonya loves castles and Yurii loved all the surrounding Lakeland hills.
Fingers crossed for them. 
We are all tired now so bed and book beckons.
