Feed the birds

Not a very good picture taken this morning while I waited for the kettle to boil to make a cup of tea.  We had an Indian Takeaway last night and there was some left overs which I put out for the crows - I hadn't made it back to the kitchen before he had swooped down and was tucking into tandoori and naan bread!  I always feed the birds, and there is seeds and peanuts on the bird table.  I also feed them whatever is left over but remember a conversation with a friend L (whose house is like a show home and I'm convinced she never walks on the carpet, just 'hovers' above it as her home is so pristine!).  She never feeds the birds anything as she is worried about attracting rats?!  I've never seen one in my garden and the food doesn't last long enough with the crows around!

Nice day today - No.1 home and we started with swim, sauna and steam.  We decided to eat at the gym and No.1 treated me to egg on toast.  Home for a quick turnaround before heading off to Headcorn.  No.1 fancied a beak around some cute shops - however we should have gone somewhere else, maybe Rye or Tenterden, but as usual we ran out of time.  

Home to light the fire and relax while she did some online shopping and I got her hospital paperwork in order.  OH watched is team draw at football and JC arrived later in the evening after a day driving around the coast.
