Remembering

This evening I attended a service of remembering loved ones who have passed away. It was held in a neighbouring church, Priestfield, and was well attended. For many the Christmas period can be a sad time as we recall friends and relatives who are no longer with us. The event provided a calm period to worship and reflect. And if we wished to light a candle.

Today is the first Sunday of Advent signalling the run up to Christmas so it was a welcome opportunity.

The day itself had been, for the end of November, mild and sunny. I even got the grass cut and did some weeding!
