WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Settle Market

Top left is the view from our attic bedroom this morning.
Then we went to Settle and had a wander round. It was frosty and foggy, we could hardly see the craggy hills above the village.
There was a stall on the market selling picture frames and I was pleased to see they were made in England and told the man so. He said he makes them all and most were wooden. Luckily I’ve been carrying around the little cross stitch picture that Sal (Squatbetty) made for us and found the perfect frame!
I also bought some lovely wee baubles for our tiny Christmas tree, and a terracotta pot to repot it this week sometime.
Also in an antique shop I found a brand new but very old Witney blanket,
you know those holey ones? It’s pale yellow and in perfect condition. My patchwork quilt has been too heavy and warm so this should do the job!

When we got home Frank lit the stove and we had a cuppa and some stollen.
It’s been a very pleasant day :-)

Goodnight ;-)X
