Tuesday: Upgrades

Today felt like a really tangible day.  One of the projects we work on here is the upgrade of the coastal highway, a previously terrible road but now much improved (see extra).  I joined a visiting team for an inspection visit along the 58km of related road.  I didn’t know I could get so excited about a road - it has built in safety features and brings communities together that were previously cut off.  

This bridge was the original, pre-upgrade.

In other news, K has gone to the UK but has left me a freezer full of food.
