An old hand

Today was cleaning day. We were pretty productive, having switched tactics from doing each room together to taking half the house each. Thing is, when we’re together we’re too easily distracted. Let’s have another cup of tea, let’s play cards, let’s just sit and yak. Better to split up, get the job done, then get out in the fresh air. 

Very cold today. Discovered one radiator not working at all, another only lukewarm, and a bloody great draught coming through the conservatory door. Bleeding doesn’t work but draught excluder does, so we did the latter and will need the experts for the former. But every time I go to complain I think of the Ukraine and don’t moan.

Did have some time to play with my toys tonight. This video and audio stuff definitely needs some dedicated time.

Discovered a good podcast today - The Rest Is Politics with Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell. Good stuff. Intelligent people. Alastair Campbell is definitely an old hand …
