Everyday I Write The Book

Nothing like a treesome

The annual ritual of buying and decorating the tree went smoothly this year (probably because it was just the two of us rather than the chaos that ensues when doing it en famille). TSM suggested an all new back to nature look with earth colours and lots of wooden decorations, so we dumped a lot of the old stuff and went for it. A small number of favourites made it into the lifeboats (including of course Santa Rabbi, that multi denominational figure of uncertain gender whose striking pose alone makes them an essential part of our woke festive season). The net result is pleasing to the eye. Very nice and not bad for the combo of a Jew and an atheist.

Tree dressing was sandwiched between lunch with The Dizzle and Ms R at Garson’s Farm and a video call with Strider, who seems very focused and energised at the moment. I could do with some of that. Felt awful tonight. Severely fatigued although at ten o’clock I had a weird surge of energy and rushed around doing odd jobs at bedtime. Really don’t know what is going on with my energy levels at the moment.
