Rain

Rain's never very far off in Scotland. Too much of it can be as devastating as not enough and I think our climate strikes a consistently fine balance. Rain is integral to the very character of us Scots - it runs through our veins. Far be it for me, as one proud of my Scottishness, to yearn for something as frivolous and soporific as endless days and weeks of basking sunshine.
