Lemon balm seed heads

Very frosty morning.  Fed the hound breakfast and carried on with a few home tasks.  Waited until the sun, weak though it is thawed some of the ice before walking the hound.

Pleasant walk in sunshine.  Frost just a sparkly dusting on paths and not slippery.

At 2pm took hound for second walk.  Sun still out but temperature palpably dropping.  On return swept up some leaves to deposit in my leaf mould bin.  In some parts of the garden the frost hasn't thawed and caused more leaves to fall. 

Came back indoors for a hot coffee and phoned a friend.

Now cosy indoors.  Heating has had to be on with minus temperatures.
