Zoo Lights

This is Friday's blip, backblipped on Saturday.

Fifteen of us went to the Denver Zoo last night to see the lights.  I don't recommend doing this with so many people, especially when one of them is a very cranky 3-year-old.  As expected, there was a lot of stopping and waiting for people, except when I wanted to take a photo.  Then everyone got ahead of me.  None of that mattered, though, as it was really wonderful, and I didn't really mind all the stopping.  Even our little one calmed down after a bit and started enjoying the lights. :-)

Of course, the elephant had to be my main blip, but there are a lot more animals in the first extra collage.  Second extra is Becky and Darrin and third is an ice sculptor demonstrating his craft.  The last two are more of the beautiful lights.  I think everyone really enjoyed the evening.

I am grateful to Darrin for driving so we didn't have to drive to Denver in the dark.  I don't even like driving there in the daylight!  I am also grateful that it was in the 30s (around 0 C) instead of the teens or 20s, as it has been on previous visits.  We were dressed appropriately, and I wasn't cold at all. :-)
