Friends
Today for the May Heartfreek Photo Challenge the word is Friends.
Charlotte, our granddaughter, and her two friends, Bethany and Hollie, are making a cake for another friend's birthday. They were happy to be my blip for today but I decided to leave them to it as they were quite confident, and they have done very well.
They have known each other since they were three weeks old - well their mothers have known each other that long, but not sure if they realised that they would become lifelong friends then!!
They went to the same nursery, primary and secondary schools and even to the same dancing school so have done lots of things together.
When they leave school in June, Charlotte will be going to Music College and the twins (if you hadn't guessed!) will be going to New College - so it will be the first time since they were very young that they will be apart. Bethany says it's scary, Hollie says it's sad and Charlotte says it's a travesty - however, they are all looking forward to this next exciting phase in their lives. I have said on the positive side that it will mean that when they do meet up they will have lots more to talk about and they will still see each other when they go dancing.
They are all lovely girls and have even cleared up in the kitchen after making the cake! The only sad thing is I won't get to try it - unless of course, Charlotte manages to bring a small slice home!
They start their GCSE examinations on Monday and I wish them all the very best - whatever they do in the future, I am sure they will stay friends!
P.S. At the time of typing, they are getting really excited about the toppings!!
