The olive tree
It's about ten feet tall and still has snow on the branches. Day six since the snowfall, but even several days of sunshine haven't thawed the ice.
I stomped down to the Trinity Rooms in my coat, boots and yaktraks. J wasn't there, but L and M and S were. I had soup and salad and herbal tea, then walked down to town with S. He plays in a band. We both wanted a hat: he wanted one with ear flaps, and I one with built in LED torch for walking home in the dark (M had shown me her hat earlier).
Neither of us succeeded, so we went off separately. I bought food and stumbled home. Then I went to bed and got warm and fell asleep...
We had some kind of curry from the freezer for supper. Watched the final episode of Acapulco Season two: fabulous! What will I do without it?
This time next week it will be almost Christmas. I'm not feeling at all festive.
