I bought myself some flowers

The John Lewis men came to deliver and fit my new dishwasher. They were friendly, helpful and organised. 
The plumber came, with his hurty finger, and fitted back my kitchen radiator.  He’s a lovely man, older than I thought. He has 8 children - two at uni, the youngest one is 6 .  He told me about each of them with such joy and pride. 
A good day. The cat’s favourite spot is on a cushion on the chair next to the kitchen radiator- so she is purring too.
