Today's the day ........................ for a long lunch

It was the Christmas Lunch today for the Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities Charity Shop - where I am a volunteer.

They are a happy and very sociable lot as you can see in the extra so lunch went on for a fair while.  I'd already decided that I would just walk home so it didn't matter to me what time we finished.  But it did take me a little by surprise how dark it was, when I stepped outside!  

The nice thing is though that tomorrow will be the shortest day - and then, little by little, the days will start getting longer. . . . . . . . . . .
