Evening light

As I got home wondering what I was going to find to take a photo of, I noticed the light gracing the tops of the trees. By the time I ran inside, dropped all my stuff off and got back outside, I had almost missed it all. I love it when the tree tops light up. It seems fitting since tomorrow is the Solstice and we can start to welcome the light back.
One and a half days left before break. It's been a crazy time because the school is rife with illness. I honestly don't know how we have stayed open. Some of the surrounding schools have closed and perhaps gone remote for a bit. It's not so much covid as other flues and viruses. Yesterday we had 10 staff out at least and they were scrambling to get coverage. Today in our class there were at least 8 kids out and a couple more who should have been out. As I'm still wearing my mask I haven't gotten sick which I am very grateful for.
