Backblip:

Woke up this morning knowing that we had to go back to Cairo to catch the plane home again. Thought we might go for a walk before we left, but the most incredible thunder / rain storm broke out. The call to prayer had just started when I heard the first thunder clap. Then the rain began and people started scurrying for cover. Aw thinks me, it's only a wee bit rain, what are you all worrying about....

Well, within 30 seconds you couldn't see anything that was more than a couple of hundred feet away and you couldn't see things that were closer well at all. When it all stopped the roads were all flooded and there was traffic chaos getting round the deepest puddles.

Back in Cairo we went down to the bazaar again as a couple of members of our group were looking to pick up some things before they headed home. Was really glad we did too. More colourful (if that's possible) and much cooler to explore at night. That's where I got this image.
