I had a lie in this morning. A very long lie in - the morning soon flies by when you’re listening to the radio, browsing the news, Twitter and Instagram, and dozing off. Archie joined me, and he doesn’t usually do that, so there was really no need to get up. Besides, Elizabeth was coming to take Archie out for a big walk later.

JR took the car to the gym, and so her step count is minimal today, as she didn’t take Archie out. No matter - she deserves a wee rest.

Elizabeth came in for a festive drink when she brought Archie home. They’d been all up over the hills (16,000 steps) and had a nice day, though they got soaked on the walk here. I think we’ve been living on party nibbles and fizz for a couple of weeks now. Not sure my pre-diabetes tutor would be too impressed…

It’s the Big Day tomorrow!
