Advent Window

We had a lovely walk with Oscar around Calstock delivering cards and presents! We had a look at the Advent Windows again and noticed details we hadn't previously! This is one of my favourite windows -  His Dark Materials By Philip Pullman. I've been unable to photograph it at night due to the condensation! I just love the Polar Bear ! The owner of the house is an architect!The Narnia window is another favourite and in daylight we saw the lion Aslan that we hadn't on the Solstice evening- however checking my photos he wasn't there on the solstice eve! Obviously he wasn't going to turn out for the pagan celebration! Flo the dog was in position once again - the owner said she needn't have done much else - just put her elf costume on and voila! We also found out that in each window was a white clay mouse made by the local school children - so we had fun finding those! We bought the map showing all the advent windows at the Lime Kiln Art Gallery so we will find the ones we have missed so far another evening!
Nellie came round in the afternoon so we had some mulled wine and caught up on each others news. Then an eve of wrapping my sisters presents - it's become a tradition for me to do this on Christmas Eve!
Wishing everyone a lovely day tomorrow however you celebrate the day - Nellie doesn't celebrate it and will be having egg and chips and weather permitting a trip to a beach!
