There was very little wind this morning so I headed out to part of the Trans Canada Trail, the Gaetz Brook Greenway. I knew some wood carvings had been placed along the trail and I wanted to see some of them. I will definitely walk more sections of this trail another time.
Two of the photos show the wood carvings, there were several more. One photo is the river that runs beside the trail. I'm not sure if the picnic area was decorated for an event later in the day, or if someone simply did it in case someone was walking the trail and wanted to stop for a rest. There were also some plates wrapped in plastic and tied to some of the surrounding trees with a bow on them. At various places along the trail, the smaller spruce trees were decorated for Christmas.
This afternoon the clouds broke up and there was blue sky, something that has not been seen for many days. I decided to take a drive out to Eastern Passage to get some golden hour photos.
Showers/wet snow in the forecast for tomorrow, then we have a few dry days and possibly more sunshine on some of the days. Temperatures are forecast to be above normal by the end of the week.
